Welcome home daddy

His flight touched down at 4.00pm. After dragging his luggage home, he immediately went to fetch the kids from school, think he must have missed them tremedously.
Along with all the paper work and tools he lunged home, he bought home loads of pretty and exquisitely wrapped japanese snacks. They all looked too lovely to be eaten but the lovely wrappers and packaging doesn’t mean anything to the kids, they were busy tearing and ripping them apart to get to the food.
Despite following an extremely hectic work schedule, he still managed to sneak some time out and visited the famous Osaka Fish Aquarium and couldn’t resist buying the cute sea animals themes t-shirt for the kids.
Anyway, it’s nice to have him back.
What the kids talk among themselves

Slept really early last night and woke up really early this morning.
The school was still closed when we were there. Rayner started telling me things and decided to video it so I can show it to David when he comes back this evening.

My consolation: RayAnne’s all well and much much lively in school (told by her teacher) and now the term, lovely and happy rays fits the blog title very well.
But I am still hanging on, waiting for David to come back and relief me. After dinner and all the routine stuff, it was only 8.30pm but I was already beat.
Turned to the kids and told them that mummy is very tired, can we sleep earlier tonight and please be good and don’t disturb mummy. Both were very cooperative and I somehow managed to convince them to sleep together in their rooms while I slept in my own room.
I needed to get some proper and quality sleep, didn’t feel like I get quality sleep sleeping between 2 kids and being kicked left and right, certainly didn’t feel too quality and comfy there. I needed proper space so I can feel rested and hang on for another 3 days for David returns.
Here mummy? There mummy?

That’s me making Rayner apply yoko yoko (a muscle relaxing cream) for me as I was feeling really really tired and my joints and muscles are all aching really badly.

The school called and informed me that RayAnne vomitted in school this morning again. And she looks really tired so they called me hoping I was able to come and fetch her home earlier so she could rest at home. But it was already 12noon when they called and she has already slept so I told them I would be there after her nap.
By the time I reached the school, she was already up and was taking her tea/snack…..it’s a good thing that she is still taking in food and keeping the food in her. Her only vomitting episode was in the morning.
Stay home SUNDAY

2 reasons why we are staying home this weekend.
1st reason: David’s away and I am feeling a little challenged and tired bringing 2 energy filled and packed kids out on my own.
2nd reason: RayAnne’s still recovering from her stomach flu so I am trying to let her get as much as as possible.
Instead of doing something that is too tiring and messy, I just spread a piece of manjong paper, used scotch tape and taped the sides so it doesn’t move. And the trio of us, spent the entire sunday afternoon, drawing and colouring……
RayAnne just enjoying doodling while Rayner had lots of fun stencil drawing and then colouring the stuff he drew using his stencils.
Lonely

While RayAnne is sick and is sleeping most of the time.
Here is Rayner feeling extremely lonely. He even started talking and playing by himself……occassionally going over to the sofa area to peep at his sister. He is probably hoping that she will wake up soon and play with him.
Stomach Flu Part 3

Yup, it hasn’t come to an end yet. No it’s not me…….haiz….sad to say it was my mum…..she must have caught the bug while looking after Rayner……
So I decided not to bring my kids back to my parent’s place as planned so my mum could get some proper rest and recover soon.
As for RayAnne, her stomach flu could have been discovered early enough so it didn’t get a chance to become really really bad like Rayner’s. In fact, she stopped vomitting right after the doctor inserted the bullet on thursday night to prevent her from further vomitting. All we were doing was nursing a roller coaster fever. But by this morning, she was no longer running a high fever but a rather low grade fever. But I wanted to make sure she was all well before bringing them to attend a birthday party at Coast Sand Resort in Sentosa.
I was glad I bought the kids to the birthday party. They had a great time playing in the pool and playing bubbles with all the other kids at the party. I too had a great time catching up with my old friends.
We left the party at around 8.00pm. Hopped on the taxi and Rayner started talking about the merlion he saw during the excursion some months ago and the nice taxi driver stopped at a area where the sentosa merlion was in full view so the kids managed to get a good look at the brightly lit merlion. The remark from Rayner was, how come this merlion don’t have water coming out from his mouth…..kekekek
The kids were beat by the time we reached home. Took their bath and milk and went to bed without the usual fuss and talk. Both fell asleep within minutes and it’s time for mummy to rest too!
Stomach Flu Part 2

Just when I thought Rayner had recovered from stomach flu and would be able to attend school today. RayAnne is now down with stomach flu.
Thus explains why I have taken the day off to care for her.
The kids and my parents were so looking forward to going to Sentosa to attend Julia’s baby girl’s one year old party on Saturday. By the looks of it, we will not able to attend……we’ll see how the situation goes!
