Have seen Rayner stuck his fingers into his ears pretty often lately. So I figured there could be a build up of ear wax *shy shy, don’t really check their ears that often* that is irritating him. Made him lie down and what I saw shocked me. There were huge huge chunks of ear wax covering almost his entire tiny little ear hole. Quickly took some olive oil and dropped 2 drops into each ear hole hoping to dissolve all the ear wax.
Checked his ears the next morning expecting to clean out all the dissolved ear wax but I was wrong. The chunk of ear wax was too huge to be completely dissolved by the olive oil. It only managed to dissolve off a bit of the sides, dis-lodging and lossen it a little. But it was good enough for me, I was able to dig out the lossen ear wax and clear up the blockage.
Wanted to test if he was hearing alright. I asked him a question.
Me: Rayner, mummy cleaned your ears already, can you hear better already?
Rayner: huh!!!
Me: lol……hahahahaha

Both my children have watery wax. Usually I will clean their ears after their bath. They love it.

Oh, thanks for sharing your method on how to clean the ear wax. In fact, i seldom check my son’s ears as i scare i would hurt him.
Huisia: don’t worry about hurting him, olive oil is the safest and easiest way to clean their ears…the ear wax just flows out!!! unusual but effective way!

That’s a new one for me too, olive oil! But do you use an earpicker or cottonbuds?
Pickleshane: hi there, I use a earpicker because the cottonbuds will only push the ear wax deeper into the ear hole……
