Updates for January & February

10 02 2008

Wow, it has been a long long while since I last blog.

Let’s see where I should begin……

17 January 2008

I celebrated my 33rd birthday with my loved ones.  Nothing fancy, we had a simple dinner and a simple cake.  My kids sang me a birthday song and it was the most wonderful song I have ever heard.  My very own copyright Birthday Song by my lovely rays……

19 January 2008

We collected the kitchen play set my parents bought for RayAnne for her coming 4th birthday.  The kids had a great time playing it while we had a hard time trying to fix it.

21 January 2008

My sister May gave birth to her 2nd kid.  Asher, the biggest baby ever born in our family.  A whopping 3.88kg.  Mother and baby are all doing well and coping pretty well.

So RayAnne kept her precious only grand-daughter title.  My parents now have 3 grandsons and 1 grand-daughter.

This very day my sister gave birth, this very day I started my new job.  I haven’t had the chance to update that I finally found a job.  Not any job but a stable and fixed hour job.  This job allows me to carry on my mother duties of dropping and fetching the kids everyday.  Best of all, it pays damm well.

5 February 2008

David collected our new car.  Just in time for the chinese new year.

This is our new DRIVE……The Subaru Impreza 1.6litre AWD

Just before we collected the car, the kids gave the car seats a whole new meaning.

They placed the car seats right in front of the telly and pretended they were cinema seats and sat there comfortably enjoying the show.

7 February 2008

Today I drove our car for the very first time.  It was tough, I had a hard time adjusting to the clutch level and accelerator.  David wanted this car to have a proper run in so we were not allowed to travel beyond the speed of 90 km/h and rpm should exceed 3000.  I could have vowed my arm pits and undies were soaking wet when I finally pulled the handbrake…….

7 & 8 February 2008

Visited my parents and in laws

8 February 2008

Bought the kids to the East Coast park.

The kids all geared up for a day at the beach.

This time round, the kids were a little braver than the last time we bought them to the beach. This time, they got into the water, quite an achievement….hahahaha……weather was damm hot but the water was really cool.  Silly mummy forgotten all about sun blocked.  The kids were a little burnt…….

 9 February 2008

We visited the ZOO.

Crocodile hunter??? Drama Drama

This time, we let Rayner be the navigator and guide.  He took charge of the map and decided where he wanted to go and what he wanted to see.   He did a pretty good job.

WenYang lion dance troupe was there to perform for the audience.

They put up a great performance.  Everyone enjoyed it, especially the kids…..

The lion came and allowed the kids to touch and play with them.  The kids really enjoyed touching and playing with the lion…..up close and personal…….

When we got home that day, we saw on the news that Ah Meng has died.  Our Iconic orang utan has died.  She was 48 years and she died of old age. Certainly sad news for the new year……

I will be going back to work tomorrow.  Mandy told me that it would be a good and auspicious time to start work tomorrow between 10am – 12noon but since I am new on the job, I think I going to have to give that good timing a miss.  BUT I am going to pretend that I started work at 10am instead of 8am….heehee…..but David will be going back to the office to just kick start work although officially he will only be back Thursday.

Oh oh, and before I go……A VERY HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR TO ALL MY CYBER FRIENDS.  HOPE THIS WILL BE A GOOD AND BETTER YEAR FOR EVERYONE…..HUAT AH!!!!!!
